Beware of SCAM Artists!!

Pre-college jitters is BIG business to some unscrupulous groups out there. They are not interested in helping your student through the whole admissions process, which will ALWAYS include financial aid. 

Groups posing as "Financial Aid Specialists" who just want to sell you financial services in disguise are prevelant this time of year - even at your own high school! Some groups try to get you to realign or hide your assets and income with the promise that you will qualify for aid. They make a nice commission on it! If your AGI is above a certain amount, it won't matter where your assets are put. You WON'T qualify.

Take special caution of the ones who offer to find you the "millions in free scholarship money" or even grant money and charge you money to do it! You can do this yourself for the price of a book from Amazon! Register your name with the website that follows, and NEVER, EVER pay anyone to find you scholarships or grants!
